The State of Illinois Department of Veteran's Affairs has granted a Certificate of Approval for the Clinical Massage Therapy Diploma Program. The Soma Institute is authorized under Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant students.

The school is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Body Work (NCBTMB) as a continuing education approved provider.

Soma graduates are qualified to apply for Illinois state licensing and for national certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Soma is a member of The American Massage Therapy Association Council of Schools.
